Peter - December 2007

Peter was still a shy little guy when the NMC work team visited the baby center in December 2007. Although he slowly warmed up to many team members. In the top picture he was being held by Monica Lengacher. In the picture with the yellow shirt he was eating dirt! Boys will be boys! Peter is now a little over 1 year old.

We have a new baby - Esther!

On November 13, 2007 an NMC work team was given a special honor. A baby girl had been left outside the gates of the baby center. Ed Moser, Bob Leinbach and Verle Hochstetler from NMC were working there. The Kenyan caregivers asked them if they wanted to name her. They decided to name her Esther. They asked the caregivers what a good Kenyan name would be. They said "Shetoo" because it means she was born (found) "while visitors were here". The men were like proud papas over that sweet little girl. God has a purpose for each little life. Who knows, maybe baby Esther, like her Bible namesake, was saved to help her people "for such a time as this".

Silas - September 2007

Silas came to the baby center in March of 2007. But this is the first time anyone from NMC had met him. Jamie took this picture when he was in Kenya in September 2007. Little did we know at that time how he would develop into a toddler with a mischevious smile and an ornery streak!

Meshack - September 2007

Baby Meshack came to the baby center in early September 2007. He had been abandoned at the gate. Another little girl at the baby center, Abigail, had just gone to hospital that day and she passed away the next day. Meshack's arrival was just at the right time to give all of the caregiver's and baby center workers a way to cope with the grief over Abigail's loss. We are so happy to have you join our family Meshack!

Simon - September 2007

Simon had been at the baby center for just a few months when Jamie & Dan visited there in September 2007. He seemed to be adjusting well to his new home.

Malachi - September 2007

There was a new baby at the baby center when Jamie traveled there in September 2007. His name was Malachi. He was just a few weeks old. Malachi is a little sweetie.

Joshua - September 2007

Joshua arrived at the baby center about one month before Jamie visited there in September. He is a happy smiley little guy! Please pray for a mom and dad to be called by God to adopt Joshua!
