We have a new baby - Joy!

Baby Joy came to the baby center a little over a week ago. She was found nearby and brought by the local police to the baby center. She was a day or two old and weighed around 3 lbs. Joy is a little fighter and continues to hold her own. Please pray that she grows stronger each day.

Abigail has a family!

Abigail went home with her new mom last Friday! Her mom is the baby center's pampers supply lady. We praise God for her new home even though she will be missed greatly at the baby center! This picture is of Abigail on her last day at the baby center.

Silas - March 2009

These photos of Silas were taken by Dana Jacobs when she was in Kenya with the March NMC work team. Silas continues to be full of energy and will be a force to be reckoned with when he gets older! Please pray that the right parents come to adopt him and that they will raise him to become a strong man of God!

Jesse - May 2009

This picture of Jesse was recently sent by Margie Helmuth from the baby center. It is amazing how much he has grown! He is one of the many reasons we keep raising money and traveling overseas with teams. Little ones like Jesse are still needing our help and God has called us to be His hands and feet. Isaiah 1:17 says: "learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. DEFEND THE CAUSE OF THE FATHERLESS, plead the case of the widow!" Thank you so much to all who have defended the orphans of Kenya! Praise God for his provision for Jesse!

Water: We have water!

The following was posted on December 5, 2008

We finally heard the words we have been waiting for this morning "we have water"! Billy Fuller reported the well casing is 117 meters (384 ft.), the well head is pumping water and the water tastes great. Billy drank right from the well tap which makes me really jealous. Billy invited us for steaks on his grill tonight and I just might take him up on that one! (Could be tough getting to Kenya by supper time) The aquifer is LARGE and appears very clean. We have shipped a water sample to be tested and will have the results within 2 days. Margie is sending pictures today so we will get them up on the blog as soon as we can. Thank our Father in heaven tonight for His faithfulness! He is bigger than any problem we face today, tomorrow or next week!

We have a new baby - Jessica!

Nicole Greenlee just posted a picture of our new baby - Jessica! She came to the baby center last week and they think she is around 3 months old. Jessica is pretty healthy and with just a little bit of consistent nutrition and loving care she will soon be as roly poly as the rest of the kids at the baby center! Jessica now has 6 sisters and 21 brothers! That's quite a bit to handle for such a little one! Please pray that she adjusts well to her new home and for a couple to be led by God to adopt her. Welcome to our family Jessica!

Go God!

God is showing up in an amazing way again in regards to the Kenya Baby Center. We just received a letter from Jeff Stanfield, current director of the baby center, that said they were running dangerously low in funds! It was a little over a month ago that the "adopt-a-baby" program was started at our church. And just this week the first check was sent over to the baby center. His timing is always perfect! Often we worry about things that are in the future, but God doesn't often give us what we need way ahead of time. He wants us to rely on Him and He will provide what we need just when we need it! I understand that more needs to be done! But I praise God for all of you who listened when God called you to give to His little ones in Kenya. You came thru at just the right time! YOU are a part of HIS perfect timing and a blessing to the baby center. God has big plans for the children in Kenya and He wants YOU to play a big part in the history of this place! Thanks for giving from the heart!

"For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help.
He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death."

Psalm 72:12-13

Moses C. has a family!

Moses C. has left the baby center! He recently went home with his Kenyan adoptive parents. Jeff Stanfield, from the baby center, said Moses was so excited he ran to the car and hopped in! We are so happy for him and pray the adjustment goes well for all! If you have "adopted" Moses, please continue to use your Moses envelopes until we have sign-ups again in September.

Thanks so much for your continuing support of these little guys!
